I’ve noticed a theme in this season’s anime.
- Kannagi
- Akane-iro no Somaru
- Toaru Majutsu no Index
- Toradora
- Shikabanehime Aka
- Macademi Wasshoi
What do their first episodes all have in common? *hint* fanservice *hint*
They all follow the same essential premise: A hot girl, through an all-too-convenient chain of events, finds herself under the care of a teenage boy.
Let’s take a look at how things came to be:
Kannagi: (Nagi)
Nagi came out of a wood carving, needs the boy so he can help to “Take care of impurities”. Ironic considering he clearly tried to rape her while she was sleeping.
Yeah, THAT guy will help you take care of those impurities.
Akane-iro no Somaru: (Katagiri Yuuhi)
Katagiri Yuuhi suddenly declares herself as fiancée to the boy in question… just after she got kiss-raped by him.
Toaru Majutsu no Index: (Index)
Index simply fell from the sky. The young male in this case will proceed to rip her clothes off.
Toradora: (Taiga Aisaka)

This one is arguable. Aisaka-chan only needs the help of the young male. Nevertheless, the two are tied together by “fate” and spend the entire episode together.
Shikabanehime Aka: (Makina Hoshimura)
Makina fell from the sky, needed a hug real bad… to… ressucitate? I haven’t figured that one out yet. Stranger still is that her heart still didn’t beat after the operation.
Macademi Wasshoi: (Tanarot)
WTF is that thing?
She popped outta nowehere. End result: young male needs to host that creature and his hot cousin.
Now, what can we make of all this? Some deep philosophical analysis? No, I’m kidding, let’s just argue which is the hottest.
Imma go with… ahh, that’s a tough decision, let’s say Nagi is.
Who’s with me?

Katagiri Yuuhi is best.
[...] is just terrible. We’ve seen it 50,000 times already. I wish Japanese 16 year-olds would get laid [...]
