I’ve been following this development closely these days. Infamous hacker Waninkoko and betatesters claim to have a working backup loader for the wii on their hands.

Here is how it works, one of the betatesters gives us a taste of what’s to come:

Grey hat hackers Team Twiizers have warned Nintendo of this vulnerability before but they did nothing to prevent it yet. The writing was on the wall and Waninkoko took it upon himself to piece together what was left to do.

As of right now, the program is only in the hands of a few betatesters but this hack could make its way to your home in the following weeks.

To install this hack, you will need to have the Homebrew Channel installed via the Twilight Hack. Already common occurrences in the hacking scene.
