Oh, that’s right, my sympathy for Lelouch and his character has been renewed. Mostly, this has to do with his “new” outfit. He can be taken seriously again. That full dress was just simply ostentatious.

Yes, a lot of things went down this episode. Some things were cool, some things were questionable in taste, the usual.

An issue I’ve been calling out for a while now has been resolved, I’m talking about Kallen’s role. I’ve complained that she’s only been tossed around for a good part of the season. I’m glad that they heard me out. However, they resolved the issue in just about the worst way possible.

I’ve had sympathy for three characters of Code Geass; Lelouch, Kallen and C.C. Those are the characters that I think about when I weigh the events. I want them all to be happy and glorious. However, the way things are going, Sunrise set me up for a disappointment. Kallen is now an enemy and she’s back with a vengeance. You can guess the emotional state I was in when Kallen and C.C. were fighting against each other!

For now, I could go and talk about the things that were questionable, but we’ve all seen the episode, your hand probably took to your face at the same moments as mine did. Let’s just leave it that, Code Geass being itself. This episode was too good to go into that right now.

A new thing though, Lelouch has run out of tricks it seems. So far, he has two go-to tactics: “Use the environment to your advantage.” and “Play a video that anticipates the viewer’s reactions”. These two are both ludicrous and can never be applied in a realistic setting. Their effect has worn out and I just roll my eyes now when he pulls it. His strategist image now only rests in his love for chess and his mad typing technique. Kinda thin.

This week’s cliffhanger: Nunnally opens her eyes, AH MA GAD. (wait, why does that even matter?)
