catching up on the news
.
I’ve been browsing through 2 months of news I’ve missed while I was away and the ones that caught my attention enough to re post them are :
-Denpa teki na Kanojo , light novel series by Katayama Kentarou and Yamamoto Yamato, the same duo that made the awesome Kure-nai will be getting an anime adaptation

-Romantic manga Hatsukoi Limited (which I greatly enjoyed, especialy the Kapa/Spoiled Princess pairing and I’m still mourning it’s pre-mature end) will also be translated into animated form

-Official site for Bakemonogatari anime is online now. Not much to see though yet, but it will be made by SHAFT and have the same director as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Are you excited? I am…excited like hell

-Not only is Umineko no Naku Koro ni getting an anime adaptation ) official site,but full fan translation of first Episode of the original game has been recently released. Amazing job people at Witch Hunt!;

When it comes to anime though, I wonder how will they be able to make it work, there’s much less material to animate compared to Higurashi
-New teaser for Clannad: After Story
I will be crying, badly. Damn KyoAni and their Key adaptations, it’s not manly to cry like that

-Toradora! anime now has an official site and here’s a small promo teaser for the series.
-French Bread (makers of godly Melty Blood series) have released a playable demo for their new fighting game Glove On
-The manliest flash drive ever!

-new eroge translation projects have been started:
Sono Hanabira Ni Kuchidu
Chaos;Head
Tears to Tiara- OMG! OMG! OMG! ![]()
Wanko to Kurasou
-Fan translators have been very active this summer, they have released
demo of Little Busters
Day 14 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni patch is also out
-Light novels update: I’ve already mentioned the sad situation with Tokyopop’s light novels line, now we know that Gankutsuou, Gosick, Missing, Trinity Blood, Good Witch of the West, Full Metal Panic are all on hold
Altough at least Twelve Kingdoms is doing well enough to be continued.

My god… that really is the manliest flash drive ever!
I’m just hoping that a competent studio is going to adapt the manga, not some studio like Toei or Gonzo. Then again, I’m hoping for too much.
The pre-mature ending of the manga was actually a wonderful, wonderful coup de grace by Mizuki Kawashita: first loves never persist most of the time, thus the open ending, but they also may endure. I love how the characters have evolved, and the ending truly brought a smile to my face.
Here’s hoping KyoAni or BONES are going to animate it.
