They did the same thing with eternal life. It frankly pisses me off. This world of lies and death isn't sufficient, but people like Ichirō and Gorō don't wish to face up to these facts so they try and make the alternatives (utopia and eternal life) seem undesirable. Try as they might to convice themselves otherwise, the truth remains: Lies kill, and dieing sucks.
