A lot of complications come up… again.

Alright, here’s the beef on this episode:

• Lelouch goes rambo all the way to Charles and seals himself with him.
• Turns out Marianne is in Anya’s body somehow. (explains why anya could never attack Lelouch)
• Bismarck’s sewn-shut eye has some sort of Geass.
• Suzaku changes his philosophy (explains his maniacal laugh)
• Schneizel organizes a sort of coup-d’état.
• C.C. got back her memory back.
• Marianne has C.C.’s geass.
• Kallen did not completely forsake Lelouch, like I predicted.
• There’s massive columns erecting towards the sky on Kaminejima.
• C.C. is supposedly on Marianne’s side.

That’s a lot of new stuff that adds to the massively entangled spaghetti ball of nonsense. I can’t make out any sort of theme, tendency or purpose to any of these actions. I can only stand in awe, IN AWE, of what just transpired. I mean, it was a glorious episode and it was fun to witness but I wouldn’t have handled things this way.

Now, we all saw the episode, so let’s try something here. If you met the writers and they asked you for advice, what would you tell them?

I, for one, would tell them to stop adding new stuff so late in the season. They keep flipping the script every damn episode, it’s getting anti-climactic. I mean, whatever happens, it won’t matter to me at all because I know everything will be completely different come next episode. Nothing comes as a surprise, nothing really matters.

If I wrote Code Geass, I would have took an entire episode to go over each of the points above by themselves. The last episode would have taken us to Charles and Lelouch together for a final OMFGWTFBBQ moment to finish it all off.
