Quick impression: Telepathy Shoujo Ran
Is it any good?
Short answer: No.
Since Kure-nai finished early, I’ve found myself out of work so I thought I might as well talk about TSR. It didn’t capture me but I still thought it was worth talking about.
Stuff I didn’t like:
The opening song is lazy, the characters aren’t detailed enough and look bland, the male friend #1 was absent when they gave out personalities (Rui was his name I think), the whole thing is embarrassingly immature.
Stuff I liked:
The backgrounds are richly detailed and colorful, Ran’s personality is very friendly and amusing, Ran’s family looks like fun, the voice acting is pleasant to the ears, the background music is great.
Bottom line:
Clearly aimed at a younger audience. If you have a middle schooler or younger in your family, this might be for them. (if they they can read fast enough) The show’s not bad but it was just too silly for me to take seriously.
This one was the first anime of the season and in the coming weeks we’ll have a lot of new ones to show you. You can check out our list of new shows right here.

As for the reason this anime is darker than the usual, has it been sorted out or is it really intended to be that way?
