Kanokon – 10

The quest for reclaiming what’s truly important in life continues!
Yay… perviness in the first scene!
Perviness? “Don’t get us wrong. This is nothing more than a medical treatment”
So the war on flat chests still wages on Kakononverse.
Boob Crusader Kouta!
let me repeat that
Boob Crusader Kouta!
definitely a quote of the week
anyway…
The quest for biggest breast (damn…it rhymes
) continued this week. It succeeded in providing fondling for Kouta and laughs for us; viewers, but it failed it’s main purpose that Chizuru was hoping for.
And then the biggest threat the Kanokonverse has ever seen, it’s nemesis, has returned….
No, not the sister, I’ve meant the PLOT!
Yes, as expected since we’re nearing the end of the series the plot was bound to appear again.

Kouta’s sister sent whole army against the poor school. But this time, the plot element worked well.
Turns out Kouta actually has power of his own, which is cliche for the genre, but was still a nice touch.
What wasn’t predictable though was that….
He’s bad-ass.
To be honest I was shocked how good the fight looked. It had great fluidity, excellent animation and detailed artwork. Way beyond what most action shows deliver, let alone what we are used to expect from ecchi anime. It’s a real crime this show isn’t broad casted in HD, it continues to be one of the prettiest (and definitely most consistent) anime of this season.
While the plot is always unnecessary in Kanokon, this time it was pulled off well, much better than Chiziuru’s crying scenes in the onsen episode. It didn’t take itself too seriously and I think that’s the key to surviving the plot-centered episodes, this and having the first half of the episode dedicated to plot-less perviness of course .
Still, I am glad next episode will go back to perverted nonsense with beach action
Plus, there was a happy end this episode:
Yes, “they” have finally returned! Hurray for Kouta’s powers!
from all the screencaps I took from Kanokon so far, none embodies the show as good as this one
