The statistics were derived off the mean review of our reviewers combining animation quality, sound quality and personal tilt. You can find the last revision here.
Code Geass, Macross Frontier and the like aren’t included as they have not started this season. We like to focus on new arrivals when comparing shows of the season.

As you can see, fanservice shows either dropped significantly or fell off the map. Sorry Sekirei. Another casualty is Birdy, the show didn’t manage to captivate me at all.

I really liked the new ones, Xam’d is fantastic and skyrocketted to the top. Ryoko’s Case File wasn’t half bad but it isn’t amazing either. Doesn’t have the polish and talent needed to get to the top.

Another surprise is Natsume Yuujinchou. I didn’t expect it to be that pleasant. The latest episodes were great!

    I’d have Natsume Yuujinchou over Blade of the Immortal but I largely agree with this list.

    Otherwise, I’m glad we got some shows other than Mahou Shoujo. They dominated the list last time around.
