Code Geass in another signature plot shuffle. How will Lelouch handle Nunnally’s death? How will the Black Knights react?

Yes, they dropped the bomb, now what? Ironically, episode 19 was more explosive than the last one. If we look at what transpired:

• Lelouch closed in on himself like the last time he lost Nunnally.
• Lelouch has been exposed and sold.
• Rolo and Lelouch got away.
• Rolo died while saving Lelouch. (Rolo’s heart skips a beat when he uses Geass)
• Lelouch got over Nunnally’s death and acknowledged Rolo as his brother, even if it was at the very last moment.
• Lelouch is born anew, albeit with no-one besides him.

Even if Lelouch lost everything, I don’t think it would be correct to simply leave it at a disaster.  Sure his status took a hit but listen to this:

“The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge to life, and the promise of future accomplishments.” -Flaubert

Now, doesn’t that quote make you feel good inside? I love it and if you can understand it, you understand what life is about.  Also, I hope you see how it relates to Lelouch. You might want to go back to the small scene after Rolo’s death if you, like me, weren’t paying much attention at that point.

Suzaku seems to have had an epiphany too but, according to his demonic laugh, it doesn’t seem as poetic or elegant.

That’s all that needs to be said in my opinion, the only other thing I would note is that Kallen still has place in her heart for Lelouch. It’s not over and Lelouch knows it. (also, there’s still 7 more episodes to go, that’s also a fairly good clue, heheh)
