Official: Final Fantasy XIII to be also released on Xbox 360
During Microsoft’s otherwise uneventful press conference at E3, Square Enix unveiled that a 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will release alongside PS3’s.
Final Fantasy will complete Square-Enix’s lineup for the 360, coming alongside: The Last Remnant, Star Oean 4: The last hope and Infinite Undiscovery.
This announcement is terrible news for SONY and its PS3. For a long while, PS3 faithfuls were lured with promise of exclusive titles: FFXIII and MGS4. Now, there is little promise for redemption with MGS4 already released.

I am basically just completely peeved about this.
i am not a sony fanboy and neither do i own any of the next gen consoles, but i grew up playing ff and actually intended to wait for ff13 to be released before setting aside the money for it.
I do admit, square enix was just being pragmatic and heading for the bigger fish, but it’s just disappointing and disheartening to see them abandoning their fans by going over. the japanese are so gonna get a real big shock when they wake up later.
BTW, “The Last Remnant” Also by Square-Enix, was announced for PC.
Pyoro: You didn’t cast off your diapers soon enough, I guess. No offense, but this is hardly the first time Square’s jumped ship. They were behind Nintendo before they jumped for Sony, and since Sony fans are still getting a release, I don’t see what they have to complain about.
“But now someone ELSE is having fun” is stupid enough, but why would you care when you don’t even own any next gen systems? C’mon.
I have confirmation that both versions of FFXIII will release at the same time.

…Does it matter at all?
The Japanese do not like the PS3 as much as the PS2. And that American console with uninteresting titles became a lot more interesting after Microsoft Japan decided to cater to niche interests.
It’s not TOO surprising that Squeenix has decided to go multiparty. If their recent titles is anything to go on by…
Well, in Japan, FFXIII is still exclusive to PS3. As odd as it sounds.
