Allison & Lillia- 08
The second arc reaches it’s end. while the whole series reaches it’s all time low!
Previous episode gave me hope this show might be heading into right direction. And as much as I love Babylon5, that show’s motto :”Faith manages” unfortunately isn’t always true and episode 8 of Allison and Lillia is best example of that.
First of all, it’s even more flat than previous episodes, the show never could capitalize on it’s most interesting moments, they always fall short of what they could have been, but this time Madhouse has surpassed themselves. This episode is just ridiculously bad.
The whole finale is just laughable. Fi reveals herself as a princess and of course a magical coincidence (the politician’s guard was also the palace guard of royal family! What are the chances?!
) saves her from total failure. Yep, great plan. Then the politician takes her hostage and runs. It’s done so bad, he grabs her and nobody reacts, he runs away, nobody reacts or even tries. He somehow produces multiple knives out of that tight suit of his and finally he dies by being blown away by the wind created by Allison and Wil’s plane. Well, that was the idea I guess, in reality it looks like they fly by, nothing happens and then he’s pushed (by the telekinesis I guess….)
(everybody! Look around for Sylar
! He must he hiding somewhere around there!).
I also “love” how it’s not even explained why it was so important to take the guy down, I mean he wasn’t screwing the nation up or anything. He just killed the royal family 10 years ago (why? Beats me!). Basically the whole reason for Fi’s quest is because she met her sick twin for two minutes ten years ago. Yep, great reason for shaping your whole life girl!. Madhouse has simply made it impossible to care about this mission
Sir, we have a little proposition for you!
Proposition?
I feel stained with shame just by saying this: but would you stay for couple more episodes, please?
WHAT?! More episodes in this crap hole!? NEVER! YOU WON”T TAKE ME ALIVE!
I will commit suicide instead, by threatening the girlfriend of one of this show’s main heroes!
Damn, if only us viewers could end the suffering so quickly
Seriously though, this episode is just bad. Horribly animated, lacking any tension or sense. It was painful watch and I can only hope upcoming episodes won’t put me through something as unpleasant as this.
